Dr. Keith T. Sellers has practiced orthodontics in Charlotte since 1985. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1978 with a BA and a Doctor of Dental Science degree in 1982. He received his Master's in Orthodontics from St. Louis University in 1985. Dr. Sellers is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society and Charlotte Dental Society and the North Carolina Association of Orthodontists, where he is a member of the Board of Directors and will serve as president in 2009. In addition to spending 50 to 100 hours each year in continuing education, Dr. Sellers also lectures to various orthodontic and dental groups several times a year. Quite often, other orthodontists and their staffs will spend a day observing Dr. Sellers and his staff. He has received the Century Award from Invisalign for recognition of his contribution in the field of orthodontics. He also is a member of the prestigious Schulman Study Club, where he was recently recognized as being in the top 1% of orthodontists in the country.
Dr. Sellers grew up in Statesville, NC and is the youngest of three brothers. He and his wife, DeAnna, and their children, Madison, Sydney and Jake, live in South Charlotte.
Education and children are very important to Dr. Sellers, and he contributes to various schools in the Charlotte area. Sellers Orthodontic treatment certificates are hot items at school auctions, thereby making significant profit toward fund raising for the school. He also supports the Cities in Schools program, Police Athletic League, Make-A-Wish Foundation and First Tee Organization.
He believes strongly in helping children achieve their goals and will do whatever he can do to help them. Students aspiring to enter the field of orthodontics often come to the office to observe or shadow Dr. Sellers, and several have completed summer internships.
Sellers Orthodontics sponsors several baseball, basketball, softball and soccer teams as well as competitive swimmers and gymnasts. Dr. Sellers is an avid golfer and also enjoys tennis, chess and backgammon.
